Three years ago, we started our family tradition of cutting down our own Christmas Tree. There is a great tree lot about 20 minutes from our house which allows us to pick our own and cut it down. On Saturday after Thanksgiving, we went to the tree lot and searched for our tree. This year Riley was really able to get into it and helped pick out our tree. Below shows Garrett (with Riley's supervision!) securing the tree to the top of our truck.

My grandma has hand knit stockings for all my family members- including Garrett when we got married. At Thanksgiving she gave me the finished stocking for Riley. We opened it and hung it on the mantle next to Garrett's and mine. Riley was thrilled that he had a stocking, although I'm pretty sure he has no memory of what they are for!
